PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple dwelling house which is built in a poorly- arranged lot or a relatively narrow lot, and excellent in habitability and comfortability. SOLUTION: In a town house 12, building parts divided into three along the transverse direction are occupied by dwelling spaces 21 and 22, dwelling spaces 23 and 24, and dwelling spaces 25 and 26. In the building parts divided into three, the dwelling spaces 21, 23 and 25 occupy an underground floor B1F and a first floor 1F, and the dwelling spaces 22, 24 and 26 occupy a second floor 2F and a third floor 3F. A passage 30 is provided along the town house 12, and the passage 30 is extended substantially in a horizontal direction at the intermediate height of the first floor 1F. An entrance E is provided on the first floor 1F in the dwelling spaces 21, 23 and 25, and the entrance E is connected to the passage 30 via a step. The entrance E is provided on the second floor 2F in the dwelling spaces 22, 24 and 26, and the entrance E is connected to the passage 30 via a step.
