PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a superior printing quality by eliminating crosstalks, and reduce a power and costs by improving a pressure transmission efficiency to an ink in a pressure chamber. SOLUTION: In the ink-jet recording head, driving columns as driven piezoelectric elements each having one end connected to a pressure chamber, and fixed columns as non-driving piezoelectric elements each having one end connected to a side wall of the pressure chamber and working as a fixing member are alternately arranged side by side. Nozzles for discharging ink drops and feed ports for supplying ink are connected to the pressure chambers. The other ends of the driving columns and fixed columns are united at a base part in the ink-jet recording head. Piezoelectric elements of the fixed columns are polarized and made electrically open. Accordingly, a rigidity of the fixed columns is greatly increased, and crosstalks and an efficiency are improved.
