PRODUCTION OF TRIAZINE DERIVATIVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production process that can inexpensively produce a triazine derivative useful as an active ingredient for herbicides. SOLUTION: A biguanide derivative represented by the general formula [1]: (R1 is an alkyl; x1 is a halogen atom; and n is an integer of 0-2) is allowed to react with a halocarboxlic ester of the general formula [2] (R2 is H or an alkyl; R3 an alkyl; and X2 is a halogen atom) in the presence of a base to produce a triazine derivative. In this production process for a triazine derivative, the reaction is carried out under the inert gas aeration.
