PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject device capable of removing hydrocarbons and the like in exhaust gas. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an exhaust emission purifying vessel containing in its inside an exhaust emission purifying liquid substantially nonvolatile at an ambient temperature and having affinity to the hydrocarbons, an exhaust introducing flow passage for introducing the exhaust to be purified into the purifying liquid contained in the purifying vessel, and an exhaust leading-out flow passage for leading out the exhaust passing through the inside of the purifying liquid to the outside of the purifying vessel.
