<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head which is the golf club head formed by fixing a face member of a separate body to the face part of a head body and which is free of clearances between the face member and the head body, looks attractive and eliminates the difficulty in the selection of the material of the face member. SOLUTION: The boundary portion between a clubface 8 and recessed part of the head body of the club head having the metallic head body 2 having the recessed part 6 in the face part 4 and the metallic face member 20 inserted into the recessed part or the boundary portion between the clubface 24 and recessed part of the face member is provided with microprojecting parts 10. The face member is inserted into the recessed part and the head body and the face member are fixed by means of screws 50 and the projecting parts are pressed by exerting pressure to the clubface, by which the clearances between the head body and the face member are closed with the metal on which the projecting parts are formed.</p> |
