PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a proper field-of-view area for a vehicle driver in various large tractor shovels for construction and civil engineering works. SOLUTION: This large tractor shovel 1 comprises an engine hood 10, a body frame 4, a cab 2 with a driver' s seat set above the body frame 4, and a bucket 3 arranged in the front of the cab 2. The cab 2 is mounted on support columns 9a-9d raised from the upper surface of the body frame 4 in a prescribed height so that the floor level of the cab 2 is set in a position higher than the upper surface of the engine hood 10.
