RAPIER BAND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rapier band which is scarcely worn out. SOLUTION: This rapier band is used for a rapier loom in which a rapier head attached to the tip of the rapier band wound on a rapier wheel is inserted into or withdrawn from a warp opening to pick wefts. Therein, the rapier band is obtained by imparting a lubricating material to the outermost layer 10 of a rapier band 3. The lubricating material is preferably polytetrafluoroethylene.
