PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a hand of a user from being caught between a car door of an elevator or a landing door and a doorway frame. SOLUTION: A thin-film-shaped contact detector to detect the contact of a part of a human body and generate an electric signal is mounted on a surface of an elevator door close to a doorway frame or close to a door overlapping part at the center of a side-opening type double door with the specified width and with the specified height from a floor level.
