摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent clogging of tooth spaces of a hob with machining chips and adhesion of the chips to cutter parts even if the operation is on the dry cut system in which no machining oil is supplied and eliminate biting-in of chips into the work. SOLUTION: A gear machining method is to generate a tooth profile on a work 23 using a hob 25 on a dry cut system in which no machining oil is supplied, wherein air is blown from an air nozzle 28 to tooth spaces provided in the hob 25 in such a way as directed along the spaces, and also from a second air nozzle 51, air is blown to the periphery from the circumferential direction of the hob 25, and thereby tooth profile is generated on the work 23, and the chips are blown off from the tooth spaces and are hindered from adhering to the spaces and flanks, and thus clogging of the tooth spaces with chips and their adhesion to the cutter parts are precluded even on the dry cut system.
