PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a marking free from such defects as a distorted character form or the discontinuous application of a heat-resistant coating, even when characters and the like are marked on a hot rolled member at a high speed using the corrosive heat-resistant coating. SOLUTION: A marking nozzle 16 is structured of a nozzle base 22, a manifold 24 arranged on the nozzle base 22, an air cap 26 arranged at the forward end of the manifold 24 and a drive part 28 for driving a needle. The nozzle base 22 and the manifold 24 whose weight ratio as the constituents of the entire nozzle 16 is high, are formed of titanium or a titanium alloy.
