It is proposed to configure a segmental rolling shutter door, with individual segments (1) which are connected to one another rotatably and can be rolled up on a shaft (2), such that the shaft (2) is designed as a convex polygonal shaft, and to select the height of the segments (1), in the opening direction of the door, such that the segments (1) come to rest flat one above the other. <IMAGE>
