PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water draining lid which can reliably drain hot water with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The hot water draining lid 30 to be used for an instant food container includes at least one narrow tear tape 40 which extends from a slit forming tab 31 provided at an end rim of the lid to an arbitrary position 32. In addition, half cuts for guiding breakage of the lid are formed at both sides of the tape 40. By peeling off the tear tape 40, a hot water draining slit 45 is formed.
