PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet printer for cash register which can print receipt printing information with a high quality at high speed and low noise. SOLUTION: In the ink-jet printer for cash register, a receipt paper 110 as a continuous form paper can be transferred along a paper transfer direction Xr by upstream side transfer rollers, and downstream side transfer rollers 52D and 55D. At the same time, ink dots are jetted to the lower receipt paper 110 from an ink-jet printing head 40 set to a printing position P1 in the middle of the transfer direction, so that receipt printing information can be printed to the paper. A distance from the printing position P1 to the downstream side transfer rollers 52D and 55D is selected to be not smaller than a length in the paper transfer direction Xr of a maximum logotype 115 included in the receipt printing information.
