PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for an end mill coupled with a tool driving shaft fixed to a turret case of a lathe capable of making a groove or plane processing using Y-axis movement of a tool rest at a high speed, with a high precision and with easiness to mount. SOLUTION: An end mill holder of a lathe is equipped with a base fixed to a turret case, a tool shaft having a tool chuck at the outer end borne rotatably by a cylindrical part of the base, a bearing block capable of being mounted on the base removably in the axial direction of the tool shaft and to form a channel-shaped tool supporting frame together with the base, and a bearing sleeve borne rotatably by the bearing block and positioned on the extension of the tool shaft. This end mill is set on the two-end supporting system in the condition that the bearing block is removed by inserting fast one end of the shaft into a tool chuck and fixing the bearing block to the base.
