PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anticorrosive coating composition for steel products which can exhibit excellent anticorrosive property, long-term adhesion, resistance to cathodically electrolytic delamination, resistance to high temperature water, resistance to high temperature brine, low temperature impact resistance and heat and cold cycling characteristics, and to provide steel products having coating film made of the composition. SOLUTION: This anticorrosive coating composition for steel products comprises (a) a principal ingredient containing 4,4-(bishydroxyphenyl)alkane- glycidyl ether, (b) an amine-based curing agent in such an amount that a ratio of an epoxy equivalent in the ingredient (a) to an active hydrogen equivalent in the curing agent is 1:(1.2-0.7) and (c) a chromic acid-based rustproof pigment and a zinc borate compound in an amount of the total of the pigment and the borate compound of <=200 pts.wt. based on the total of the ingredients (a) and (b) of 100 pts.wt. The ingredient (c) contains 20-81 pts.wt. of the zinc- borate compound, and the pt.wt. ratio of the chromic acid-based rustproof pigment to the zinc borate compound is (0.3-2.0):1.
