PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical printing head equipped with time sharing drive type light emitting elements and a general-purpose driving IC for driving them. SOLUTION: Light emitting elements 22 equipped with (n) individual electrodes 28, (p) common electrodes 27 and a plurality (n×p) of light emitting parts 26 selected by them and a driving IC 1 equipped with (n) element driving output terminals D01-D048 and (m) group selecting terminals CD1-CD40 connected to the individual electrodes and the common electrodes are provided and a plurality (q) of the light emitting elements 22 are provided per one driving IC and the number (q) is determined by the number (p) of the common electrodes 27 of the light emitting elements 22 and the number (m) of the group selecting terminals CD of the driving IC 1. |
