PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hot water supply apparatus supplying hot water through indirect heating using a hot water storage tank in which unexpected high temperature water is not supplied even upon occurrence of abnormality in a mixing means but a second best use is provided continuously. SOLUTION: The hot water supply apparatus comprises a combustion means 13 for heating hot water in a hot water storage tank 12, a temperature sensor 12a for stored hot water, an inlet channel 21 and an outlet channel 23 of the hot water storage tank 12, a heat exchanging section 22 for hot water supply disposed in the hot water storage tank 12 and subjected to indirect secondary heating with hot water in the hot water storage tank 12, means 25 for mixing water from the inlet channel 21 with hot water from the outlet channel 23, a hot water supply channel 26 for introducing the mixed hot water farther downstream, and means for detecting abnormality of the mixing means 25. When an abnormality is detected by the abnormality detecting means, set temperature of hot water in the hot water storage tank 12 is changed to such a level as causing no burn. |
