PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire extinguisher for a cigarette butts-receiving vessel that is compact, can be set in individual cigarette butts-receiver, is easy to handle and can surely extinguish the butt fires. SOLUTION: A thermally insulated vessel (5) in which dry ice (4) is stored is arranged to the cigarette butts-receiving vessel (1) to which cigarette butts are thrown into. The passage (9) for taking out the sublimed dry ice gas from the upper part of the insulating vessel (5) is guided and opened to the bottom of the butts-receiving vessel (1).
