PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inorganic dispersant useful for obtaining polymer particles having uniform particle diameters and a sharp particle size distribution. SOLUTION: This inorganic dispersant is obtained by treating calcium phosphate-based inorganic compound particles with an organic surface treating agent and satisfies (a) 0.002<=dx1<=0.1 (μm), (b) 0.005<=α<=0.5 (μm) and (c) 20<=Sw1<=200 (m2/g) (dx1 is an average particle diameter measured by an electron micrograph;αis a 50% average particle diameter measured by a Shimazu type particle size distributor CP-4L and Sw1 is a BET specific surface area (m2/g) by a nitrogen adsorption method.
