PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the cleaning device of a passenger conveyor which can be easily mounted on a front shaft and considerably reduce the time for preparation. SOLUTION: A push bolt 11 is loosened, and a strap 11c is moved to the proximal side with a frame as it is except a tread of a step 6a for examination, the receiving part 11g side of one fitting part 11 is inserted to the distal side from a space part obtained by removing the tread, a front shaft 8 is located between the receiving part 11g and the strap 11c, the push bolt 11b is screwed to press the strap 11c against the front shaft 8, and a cleaning part 12 is connected to this fitting part 11 via a connection part 13.
