PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly rotate a pulley of a governor according to the traveling speed of a car to correctly operate this governor in an elevator provided with the governor on the car. SOLUTION: A roller 10 is provided so as to be brought into contact with a pulley 20 of a governor 20 and a guide rail 3, and the roller 10 is urged to be pressed against the guide rail 3 and the pulley 22 by a weight 11 and a spring 12.
