PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saw blade having less wear and can operate with a high cutting speed. SOLUTION: A saw blade, in particular of round form, including a base blade 2 made of steel is structured so that saw teeth 4 made of hard metal are attached to the periphery of the saw blade by means of welding, etc., wherein each tooth is formed from a flat portion 10 extending perpendicularly to the longitudinal or diametric direction of the saw blade 1 and a slant cutting region 11 adjoining to the flat portion, and the flat portions and slant cutting portions of the teeth 4 are arranged in alternate dislocation, wherein the saw blade crossing dimension (b) of the region 11 is made larger than the crossing dimension (f) of the flat portion 10. Thereby forces from the two side faces are applied to the teeth 4, which stabilizes the flat portions. Because the teeth 4 do not cut in splinters with their whole dimension (t) in the crosswise direction, a sufficient space for exhausting chips S is obtained.
