PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR valve capable of easily and surely maintaining recirculating amount of a minute amount of exhaust gas in a high load area of an engine and easily setting lift amount in each switching position. SOLUTION: This EGR valve comprises a housing 1 including a gas flow passage 1a for interposing on the way of an exhaust gas recirculating passage 2 of an engine, a valve body 6 equipped in the housing 1 so as to open and close a suitable position serving as an opening 14 in the gas flow passage 1a of the housing 1 by a valve element 6a, and an actuator (a cylinder chamber 5, a main spring 8, a piston 9) for enabling the valve body 6 to provide opening and closing operation of the opening 14 by the valve element 6a. A bypass flow passage 17 is pierced in the housing 1 so that a minute amount of exhaust gas 13 is distributed by avoiding the opening 14 of the gas flow passage 1a.
