PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a domed roof which is light in weight, simple in construction, and high in strength, and to provide a method for constructing the domed roof, which is simple and easy in assembling and can be constructed with good working efficiency in a short period of time. SOLUTION: There is provided a domed roof which covers an upper portion of a structure such as a storage tank. The domed roof is formed of a flexible membrane body arranged on the innermost side of the roof and fixed to side wall upper portions of the structure such as the storage tank, a honeycomb core which rigidly covers an upper surface of the flexible membrane body, and a continuous face member which rigidly covers an upper surface of the honeycomb core.
