PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for adjusting the position of an immersion nozzle to a mold, and a continuous casting method using this system. SOLUTION: The device for adjusting the position of the immersion nozzle for continuous casting is provided with one pair of rods 2 for detection, fitted to the upper extending direction of long side inner wall surfaces 1a of the mold 1, a tilting mechanism 6 for tilting a tundish 3, a horizontal shifting mechanism 7 for horizontally shifting the tundish 3, a camera 8 for picking up the rods 2 for detection and the immersion nozzle 4, an image processor 9 for processing the image picked up with the camera 8 and a control unit 10 for controlling the tilting mechanism 6 and the horizontal shifting mechanism 7 based on a signal from the image processor 9. The position of the immersion nozzle 2 is adjusted when needed during the time from the start of the casting to the halfway of the casting by using this system.
