PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape-heat set type decorative ribbon whose self three- dimensional shape can purposively be changed to produce a characteristic appearance by heating the main body of the ribbon with the hot air of a drier, far infrared light, or the like. SOLUTION: This shape-heat set type decorative ribbon is a narrow woven fabric which has selvage edge portions branched in biplane-like states on both the sides of the main body portion. Therein, warps having a thermal shrinkage rate different from that of warps in the main body portion are used as a part of the warps forming the selvage edge portions. Thereby, when a heating treatment is applied to a desired site, a three-dimensional shape charge can arbitrarily be given. A ribbon decoration which cannot be expected on conventional ribbons can be expressed, and a luxury presentation effect is obtained, when the ribbon is used for wrapping or the like.
