PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter capable of reducing an energy consumption, preventing noise from occurring, reducing the possibility of environmental contamination, increasing a cutting efficiently, and easily setting the position of a blade tip of a cutting blade. SOLUTION: This cutter is formed so that a cut object 1 positioned on a placing table 2 is fixedly pressed by a retaining plate 21 and a cutting blade 11 is reciprocated in vertical direction so as to cut the cut object. The cutting blade 11 is allowed to be operated by a servo-motor 17 only when a cutting treatment is performed. A calculation processing part 41a and a storage part 41b having various setting areas such as upper and lower limit position settings 41e and 41f of the cutting blade 11, a current value setting 41g of the servo-motor 17, and a cutting times setting 41f are provided in a drive control device 41 of the cutting blade 11. A setting to these set areas is allowed arbitrarily from an input operation panel 42 and, based on these settings, the driving and stopping of the cutting blade 11 are controlled. |
