PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder having an operating fluid supply hole without a plug generating a cause of fluid leak and a work method of the operating fluid supply hole thereof. SOLUTION: This cylinder has an operating fluid supply hole 6 comprising a hole 6a drilled in a shell part 2 from one end side of a cylinder tube 1 and an oblique hole 6c diagonally communicating with the above hole from inside the cylinder tube 1. This work method is for this operating fluid supply hole.
