SEAL STRUCTURE FOR SCROLL TYPE COMPRESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a housing in the radial direction in the condition that the seal performance is secured in a scroll type compressor formed with a discharge port in a movable scroll thereof. SOLUTION: A center housing 12 is formed with an extension part 42 extended from the most outside inner peripheral surface 43 of a fixed scroll 11 to an axis thereof. A seal member 46 is assembled between the extension part 42 and the movable scroll 21. The seal member 46 is housed in an annular groove 45 formed in a surface of the extension part 42 opposite to the movable scroll 21, and energized by a pressure difference between both sides in the radial direction so as to be tightly brought in contact with a back surface of the movable scroll 21.
