PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transporting method and its device capable of controlling the moving position of a jig precisely by sensing the specific position of jig under movement using a photo-sensor, and determining the jig moving amount using the sensed position as reference. SOLUTION: When a photo-sensor 13 senses a reflector plate 3 while a table 11 of a transportation part is moving, the table 11 is moved for a preset distance from the table position at this time used as reference. In this manner, the transportation part moves the table 11 in a specified amount from the reference position as the position of the table 11 when the photo-sensor 13 has sensed the reflector plate 3, it is possible to move the jig 1 placed on the table 11 to the specified position without being influenced by eventual dispersion of the jig placing position relative to the table 11 or dispersion in the processing accuracy of the jig itself.
