PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner eliminating uncomfortable feeling at the time of using it by regulating an exhaust outflow from a cord plug take-out port. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner is provided with a dust collecting chamber 1, a motor fan chamber 3 arranged with a motor fan 2, a cord reel chamber 5 arranged with a power source cord 4 and an exhausting chamber 10 for sending exhaust from the fan 3 to the outside. The room 10 is divided into a first ventilating path 14a for exhausting the exhaust directly to the outside of a main body 9 and a second ventilating path 14b exhausting the exhaust to the outside of the main body 9 through the chamber 5 and the chamber 10 is formed of the rear wall 9a of the main body 9 and an exhaust passage body 8 having an exhaust port 6 at a part of it to regulate the exhaust outflow to the side of a cord plug take-out port 7 to reduce uncomfortable feeling at the time of operation.
