PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ladder attachment which is attached to a ladder for use in hoisting a wall surface-mounted object (load) such as an outdoor machine to be mounted on a wall surface of a house, to thereby drastically improve the setting stability of the ladder when rested on the wall surface. SOLUTION: The ladder attachment A is comprised of a detachably attaching portion 1 to be detachably attached to a ladder B, and a projecting portion 2 which protrudes at a predetermined angle with respect to the longitudinal direction of the ladder B when the detachably attaching portion 1 is attached to the ladder B, to thereby abutting and engaging a projection end with a portion C of a house, on which the ladder B is rested. The ladder attachment further includes a hoisting apparatus 3 attached to the projecting portion 2, for hoisting a load from a lower place. The detachably attaching portion 1 can be detachably engaged with foot holding bars 4 of the ladder B, and is comprised of a support portion 6 for abutting and supporting right and left handrail supports 5 of the ladder B when the detachably attaching portion 1 is engaged with. one of the foot holding bars 4.
