PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method of screening a therapeutic agent for cartilage disorders, etc. SOLUTION: This method of screening the therapeutic agent for the cartilage disorders comprises adding a test substance to a cultured chondrocyte and measuring the activity for forming a chondron by using the cultured chondrocyte. The therapeutic agent for the cartilage disorders, etc., is obtained by using the method for screening. The cartilage disorders are osteoarthrosis, cartilage defects, cartilage damages or meniscus damages. A cultured chondrocyte treated with an inflammatory cytokinin such as interleukin 1, interleukin 6 or tumor necrosis factor(TNF) is used as the cultured cartilage cell.
