PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically control the ON-OFF of a power source of an information display device to display the information in an elevator information transmission device. SOLUTION: ON-OFF of a power source 12 of an information display device 10 installed in an elevator car 1 and presence/absence of the TV signal to be received by a receiving device 8 are detected by a signal detecting device 9, and when the TV signal is detected, the power source is turned on, and when no TV signal is detected, the power source is turned off in a specified time. Troublesome manual turn-on/turn-off of the power source of the information display device is eliminated, and the display of the noise on the screen and generation of only noises from a speaker caused by the on condition of the power source of the information display device even if no information is transmitted, and the disagreeable feeling for passengers in the cage can be prevented.
