PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the transient property of a supercharging pressure. SOLUTION: When the abnormality diagnosis conditions of a supercharging pressure system is accepted (S1-S4), an actual supercharging pressure is judged to be kept a preset rate higher than an estimated supercharging pressure for a predetermined period or not (S5-S8). If kept, it is diagnosed to be abnormal (S9), and when it is diagnosed to be abnormal, correction for increasing the amount of inlet air is inhibited (S12) and lean combustion is inhibited (S13).
