PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor fitting structure for an air bag stabilizing the decelerating speed generated in a sensor. SOLUTION: A side frame 10 for an automobile is mainly constituted of a plate sensor fitting bracket 11 installing a satellite sensor 4 for an air bag, and a U-shaped front frame material 12 and rear frame material 13 fixed to the front/rear of the sensor fitting bracket 11 by bolts 14 and nuts 15. The strength of the sensor fitting bracket 11 is set larger than the rear frame material 13 and the strength of the rear frame material 13 is set larger than the front frame material 12 respectively. This constitution can increase the strength difference between the front and the rear of the satellite sensor so as to provide stable deceleration in collision.
