PURPOSE:To generate precision parallax image by projecting three dimensional voxcel data of an object, whose background part is taken account, onto a two dimensional plane in an arbitrary direction to reduce errors in the background part. CONSTITUTION:With the use of cameras 11-15 and parallax image separation means 21-24, the parallax image, where an object 8 and background 9 are separated from a pair of images of minute parallax, is generated. Then, with the use of four parallax images of separated object 8, continuous stereo images are generated, and with a three dimensional voxcel data generating means 5, the shape of the object 8 is obtained, and then with a plane set at appropriate position behind the shape of the object 8, the background 9 obtained from a pair of minute parallax image is pasted. Then, the three dimensional shape determined by considering the background 9, thus obtained, is re-projected onto the two dimensional plane by a computer, etc., so that the parallax image in the arbitrary direction is generated. |
