PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making a finger cap to cover a long fingernail according to the thickness of an individual finger. SOLUTION: The whole of a fingertip including a fingernail is covered with a synthetic resin which is softened when heated and solidified at an ambient temperature. A rubber band is wound around a synthetic resin layer covering a first finger joint to form a narrow part and the solidified narrow part is brought into close contact with the first finger joint, thereby engaging a cap for a long fingernail with the joint.
