PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compress the filament, to automate the packing work, to compress the filament, and to reduce the size of the packing style. SOLUTION: A cylindrical container is rotated, the filament is dropped at the position away from the center of the cylindrical container, and a compression member is elevated/lowered at a separate position. The filament is deposited in the container so as to depict a large circle on the whole while depicting a small circle, and continuously compressed by the compression member. A bar as the compression member extended from a holding member is held by two rollers having recessed parts on their circumference, the rollers are driven, the bar is held by the rollers and lifted, and dropped at the recessed parts.
