PREPARATION METHOD OF MOLDED PRODUCT USING FURNACE SLAG AND WASTE PLASTIC MIXTURE

PURPOSE: A method for preparing a molded product is provided, to recycle the industrial waste to obtain a molded product with good appearance and mechanical properties by using the furnace slag and the waste plastic mixture. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of melting the waste plastic comprising at least one selected from polyethylene and polypropylene, and polystyrene at a temperature of 160-200 deg.C; adding 100-500 parts by weight of the furnace slag to the melted waste plastic based on 100 parts by weight of the waste plastic and mixing them mechanically; pelletizing the mixture and molding the pellet to obtain a molded product with a bending strength of 20 MPa. Preferably the mixture comprises further 50 parts by weight of glass fiber or less based on 100 parts by weight of the waste plastic.
