The invention relates to a television receiver remote control module designed for selecting the received channels and the on/off command. The claimed remote control module is mounted between the cable reception system antenna and the remote-controlled receiver (7) and comprises a tuner (1) which takes over the signal from the cable reception antenna and transmits it through a I. F. filter (3) and a selective amplifier (4) to a modulator (6) which also receives the sound path signal through a filter (5), the signal of the desired station being obtained at the modulator output, said signal being transferred to the television receiver (7), the tuner (1) being controlled by a channel selection control unit (2) switched on by a remote control processing unit (8) which also switches on a power supply control unit (10) controlling a switch (11) which, by means of a relay (d), switches on/off a make contact (k) inserted in the power supply circuit of the receiver (7).
