PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress heat generation of a capacitive display panel without decreasing scan frequency. SOLUTION: Scan-side drivers IC2, 3 receive the supply of a voltage required to drive a scan electrode from a switching power supply 5 via voltage supply lines L1, L2, and output a pulse-like scan voltage to the scan electrode of an EL display panel 1 to sequentially perform scanning. A data-side drivers IC4 receives the supply of a voltage required to drive a data electrode from the switching power supply 5 via voltage supply lines L3, L4, and outputs a pulse- like scan voltage to the data electrode. A reactor 9 and a resistor 10 are inserted in series between the switching power supply 5 and the scan-side drivers IC2, 3. Because this reactor 9 reduces especially a high-grade harmonic component of a driving current, heat generation of the EL display panel 1 can be suppressed without decreasing the pulse width.
