PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner supplying device reduced in the erroneous detection of a toner residual amount detecting sensor, excellent in the balance of toner distribution, hardly being affected by the inclination of a device, capable of positively mixing and stirring toner, excellent in the carrying efficiency of the toner, excellent in the rotational support of the bearing part of a stirring and carrying member, good in durability and without causing any uneven distribution of the toner whose characteristic is deteriorated. SOLUTION: The carrying capacity of a toner carrying part provided just below the toner residual amount detecting sensor 14 is set to be smaller than that of the other toner carrying part. The carrying capacity is adjusted by adjusting either one of or both of the pitch and effective diameter of a screw auger or a spiral coil constituting the toner carrying part or providing a stirring plate 15c at the end part of the screw auger or the spiral coil of the toner carrying part provided just below the toner residual amount detecting sensor in a radial direction. Also, the toner carrying part having a normally carrying part 15a and a reversely carrying part 15b is formed, and the toner residual amount detecting sensor 14 is provided near the boundary of both parts. |
