The yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which produces huge quantities of the surface antigens of the human virus of the B hepatitis HBsAG, HBpreS2Ag and HbpreS1Ag are constructed by using methods of gene engineering. The effective biosynthesis of antigens in the yeast was achieved by the use of the hybrid promoter of the yeast, which consists of the promoter parts of the genes GAL1 and PYK1. For the stabilization of the recombinant plastids and the selection of the productive stems, a gene from the yeast Candida maltosa was used; it determines the resistance to the formaldehyde. The use of this gene allows growing recombinant stems in the feeding mediums of any of the compositions. |
