摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device which has high antenna performance by adjusting the variable reactance element of an impedance matching circuit according to the resonance frequency of an internal antenna that is observed via an RF connector, which functions to secure connection of an external antenna. SOLUTION: When an antenna changeover switch 39 connects a matching circuit 32 to an RF connector 38 via the control of a control circuit 44 that received an instruction form a personal computer 43, a network analyzer 42 observes the voltage standing wave ratio VSWR of an antenna element 31 via the connector 38. Receiving the VSWR of the element 31 from the analyzer 42, the computer 43 compares the resonance frequency, i.e., the minimum frequency of the VSWR with the design value. When these frequency and value do not match with each other, the computer 43 controls a variable capacitor diode 33 of the circuit 32 to optimize the matching of the impedance of the element 31.</p>
