PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive information display device capable of displaying a plurality of different pieces of display information with a simple structure by moving an indicator to overlap any of first and second through holes to the display hole of a front plate so that a plurality of display patterns is switchable. SOLUTION: An indicator 1 is formed of a plate having a prescribed thickness, and a plurality of circular through-holes 2a, 2b for showing an optional character line to be displayed by dots are formed on the indicator 1. When a display driving means 7 operates a drive source 11, a connecting member 10 is rotated about a rotating shaft 11a to move the indicator 11 in a 45 deg.-oblique direction. According to this, the through-holes 2a, 2b of either one pattern formed on the indicator 1 overlap the display hole of a casing. The display information by characters formed on the overlapped pattern can be visually confirmed from the front side of the front plate by the light emitted from a light source 9 on the reverse side of the indicator 1.
