PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate setting for securing necessary video recording time by allowing a user to designate video recording time and calculating a video recording parameter satisfying the relation between the video recording time to be designated and residual recordable capacity. SOLUTION: A user inputs video recording time necessary to video recording target time 305 on a screen. When target time is inputted, a video recording parameter for satisfying the target time is calculated. For instance, when currently selected resolution 301 and image quality 302 are regarded as preferential, a video recording interval S is selected in such a manner that S<=T×X/Y, while joining the resolution 301 and the image quality 302 are defined as X bytes in all, the total recording capacity is defined as Y bytes, a recording interval is defined as S seconds, and recordable time is defined as T. The resolution 301, the image quality 302 and the recording interval 303 which are selected in this way and recordable time calculated with this combination are updated and displayed. When the user decides to perform setting execution with this recording period, a designated video recording parameter is set.
