PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the interval of cleaning work and to efficiently perform the cleaning work by suppressing sticking of dirt causal materials to a translucent window, which is provided in the front of a detection sensor, as much as possible with respect to a fire detector installed in a tunnel. SOLUTION: A fire detector 10a is comprises of an enclosure (detector main body) 11, a sensor storage part 12 which is provided on the enclosure 11 and projects into the tunnel, inclined parts 13a and 13b which are obliquely formed in the length wise direction of the tunnel, individual light-transmissive windows 14a and 14b which are provided in inclined parts 13a and 13b respectively and are arranged at angles 5 to 30 deg. to the inside wall surface of the tunnel, and detection sensors 16a and 16b which are stored in the insides of translucent windows 14a and 14b respectively and set prescribed detection areas.
