PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cask weight by avoiding useless auxiliary shield body. SOLUTION: An auxiliary shield body 1 is constituted by charging resin 3 in an outer frame 2. An annular outer frame 4 is formed by sheet metal also on the side surface of a bottom plate 104 and resin 5 is charged inside this part. From the outer frame 4, a flange part 7 for attaching to a shell body 101 radially extends and is fixed with bolt 9 to a fixing block 8 placed on the cask body 116. Therefore, by loosening the bolt 9, the auxiliary shield body 1 can be detached from the bottom plate 104. By this, the cask 100 can be placed in a placement area with a state the auxiliary shield body 1 is detached.
