摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of accurately detecting the position of a gap in such case that the recognition of the gap of a magnetic head is difficult and an adhering device for a magnetic head. SOLUTION: For a magnetic head 21, known values for the apex angleαof a winding groove part 23a, the apex angleβof the winding groove part 23b, the depth dimension D of the gap 22, the shift dimension L of a joining surface and a height H from the surface of a width control groove 29 to the tip of the gap 22 are substituted in (equation 1); a/b=(H-D)tanα/(H-D-L)tanβand a dimension ratio a/b is obtained. A dimension C from the inner side end edge 28a of the width control groove 29a to the inner end edge 28b of the width control groove 29b observed in the visual field of a microscope is divided by the ratio of the dimension ratio a/b, the position of the gap 22 is obtained and it is aligned to a base plate 31 and adhered.
